J&A Lainez Services, LLC (“we”, “us”) is a home repair and renovation company based in Springfield, VA, serving the DMV area. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use this website (jalainezservices.com), our quote forms, our chat assistant and our online estimates, and when you contact us by phone, email or text message about a quote or a project.

We respect your privacy and want you to know what happens to the information you share with us.

Please do not send sensitive information. We do not ask for payment card numbers, bank details, Social Security numbers or government ID numbers through this website. Please do not put them in a quote form, in the chat, or in an email to us.

Sometimes we receive your contact details from someone else, for example a family member or property manager who asks us to look at work on your behalf. We only use those details to contact you about that request.

How we use information

• To respond to your quote requests and questions, and to contact you by phone, email or text message about them.
• To visit your home, prepare and send estimates, record your approval or decision, and keep track of where each estimate stands.
• To schedule and carry out work, and to communicate with you about your project.
• To keep business records, such as for accounting, taxes, warranties and insurance, and to meet legal requirements.
• To protect this website and our business from spam, fraud and misuse.
• To understand which services and areas people ask about, so we can improve our website and our services.
• To enforce our agreements and respond to legal requests.

If we ever send marketing messages, every one will include a simple way to opt out. Messages about a quote or a project you have asked us about are different, and we will keep sending those as needed.

Cookies and browser storage

• No advertising or analytics cookies. This website does not set cookies to track you, and it does not use advertising or analytics services. Our hosting and security providers may use technical cookies or similar tools that are needed to deliver and protect the site.
• Campaign links. If you arrive from a link that carries campaign information (for example, from an ad), your browser keeps that information temporarily in session storage. If you then send us a request, we save it with your request so we know which link brought you. It is cleared when you close the browser tab.
• Staff sign-in. Our staff dashboard uses a cookie to keep staff signed in. Visitors do not receive it.

If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this page first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.

Server logs

Like most websites, the servers that host this site keep logs of requests. A log entry typically includes your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, and the date and time. We and our hosting provider use logs to run the website, fix problems and keep it secure.

When you send us a request through the website, we also save your IP address and browser type with it. We use that to spot spam and abuse and, if you approve an estimate online, as part of the record of that approval.

Service providers

We use a small number of companies to run the website. They handle information only to provide their service to us, and each has its own privacy policy.

• Website hosting and email (Hostinger). Hosts this website, stores the information you submit, and delivers our email, including the estimates and messages we send you.
• Crews, subcontractors and suppliers. If we do work for you, we may share your name, address, phone number and job details with the people who need them to schedule, perform or supply the work.
• Professional advisers. Accountants, insurers and lawyers, where needed for our business.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We share it only:

• with the service providers described above;
• with people you ask us to share it with;
• when the law requires it, such as in response to a court order or a request from a government agency, or when we believe it is needed to protect people, property or our rights, or to investigate fraud or other unlawful activity;
• if our business is sold or transferred, in which case the records would go to the new owner; and
• in summary form that does not identify you.

How long we keep it, and security

We keep requests, estimates and project records for as long as we need them to serve you, to meet our tax, accounting, insurance and legal obligations, to honor warranties, and to resolve disputes. After that, we delete or anonymize them. Requests our spam filter catches are cleared out periodically.

We protect your information with measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), password-protected access for staff, and limits on who can see it. No website or system can be made completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

• You can choose what to share. If you leave out information, we may not be able to prepare an accurate quote.
• Access, correct or delete. You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We may need to confirm who you are first. We may keep records we are required to keep, for example for tax or warranty reasons, and an approved estimate is a business record. We aim to answer within 45 days.
• Messages. Tell us if you would rather not be contacted by phone, email or text, and we will respect that, apart from messages we need to send about work already agreed.
• Where you live. Depending on your state (for example Virginia, Maryland or the District of Columbia), you may have additional privacy rights. We offer the choices described here to everyone. If you are not satisfied with how we handled a request, you may also contact your state attorney general’s office.

Do Not Track and privacy signals

We do not track you across other websites, and we do not sell your information or share it for advertising. Because of that, there is nothing for a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal to opt you out of, and those signals do not change how this website works.

Children

This website is for adults who own or manage a home. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

This website may link to other websites, such as a map or an email or phone app. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and change the date at the top. If we make a significant change to how we use your information, we will make that clear on this page.
